可愛い人、僕の可愛い子

牧歌アルペジオリフで幕開け。
前半は胎内回帰をすら窺わせる、穏やかな懐古に終始。リフと同じコードの上に奏でられる第1ギターソロもすこぶる平和裏に慕情ボーカルパートの橋渡しをする。朗らかに歌う声からは一抹の不安も聞き取れない。
ところがEmの第2ギターソロから悪夢の如き曲調に転ずる。
さっきまであれだけ慕わしげに歌っていた者が Where do we go? と行く末を案ずる問い掛けを執拗に繰り返す。
そして元の牧歌調に戻る事は無く、渦巻く苦悩も消えぬままやはり抑圧のEmで幕引き。

東京ドーム公演の本作演奏の導入にアクセルローズは Grand Funk Railroad の Bad Time の一節をまくし立てた。

　恋をしたけどきっとタイミングを誤ってしまった

これは本作が悲恋の歌である事の裏付けにもなろうか。
