TV伝道師ジミースワガートが本作の風刺に気付かぬまま悪魔が作った歌と断じた事に言及するスティング。「弱ってる」というのはちょうどスワガートの性的醜聞が取り沙汰されている時だったから。
TVの人気者の軽率で浅薄な解釈のおかげでスティングは作詞家としての名も上げたのかも。

作者にアンディサマーズの名を含めていないが、恐らくジャズ風のコード構成をしたのがサマーズで、詞を含めその他を書いたのはスティング。
