然るにビートルズ版では That I will love you と1語加えられ、符割りも異なるので、レノンのデモの同韻同旋律は破綻。
will love you はマッカートニーの歌唱を重ねたものだろう。

本作の仮題だったという I Don’t Want to Lose You の文言が歌われている。言い方を変えればこの部分はビートルズ版には不採用、サビの Now and then I miss you へと一足飛び。間を端折ったこの接続はハリスン曲の While My Guitar Gently Weeps の I don’t know why/how… への展開を彷彿するので、この改変は彼へのオマージュ… ってのはチト考え過ぎだろうか。
