大方の憶測に反し、作者本人によれば本作はドラッグソングに非ず。
これを真に受ければ真摯なラブソングって事になりそう。
ただこれだと最後の一節が不可解に過ぎる。

これはもう作者の真意や巷間の憶測から離れ、つまりは歌の最後の一節「自業自得」にかこつけた「受信料はちゃんと払うのが当たり前」というメッセージ。広告制作者のしたり顔が目に浮かぶ。
放送内容に一定程度の独立性を認める人も多いBBCだけど、彼の国にも「BBCをぶっこわーす」なんて人が現れておかしくない気はする(知らんけど)。
