追記

the band have described it as a homage to the spirit of 1970s post punk, citing the influence of Blondie (who’s own Atomic single came out in 1979) and The Clash.

At first listen, the band's new single might sound like a simple homage to Vegas – but all is not as it seems

本作がブロンディやクラッシュへのオマージュだと公言している模様。
そんで Wiki にはデボラハリーとジョルジオモロダー(先述の Call Me の作者)が作曲者にクレジットされていた(当初は未知だったので曲名の下に追記↑)。これは恐らく共作したという事ではなく、Call Me との類似に鑑みクレジットを与えたのだろう。桑田と大森のクレジットは無いけど、よく聴いたらソロのシメがユニソンベンドなのも似てる… ってまあ考え過ぎか。

この記事に where you always knew I’d be という空耳詞(misheard lyrics)が載っている事は無視するが、ボノによれば本作は聴衆へのラブソングで、それを象徴する一節が(正しい方の)where you are is where I’ll be との由。
