It was written about being in a place which was full of life and then now is all, you know, bereft of life so to speak. And when I went back to what I’ve written originally, it was full of… but I didn’t use them in the lyrics, it was all full of plague terms and things like that. I never actually used that but it was all there. Keith and I both had the idea that we should release it, you know. But I said, well, I’ve got to rewrite it, because some of it is not going to work and some of it was a little bit weird and a bit too dark. I didn’t have to rewrite very much, to be honest. It’s very much how I originally did it.

様変わりする生活についての歌をコロナ禍以前に書いていたが、詞に多く含まれていた疫病に関する言葉をそのまま使う事はせず、少し書き直して semi humorous だった歌を less humorous にした、との由。

all full of plague terms… オリジナルの方が更に予言的だったとも取れそう。
